President Rick Frisch
Rick Frisch is responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term strategic guidance of the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame located on the Boise State University campus in Idaho.
Frisch’s career spans 37 years with several prominent universities and non-profit organizations. Most recently, he held leadership roles at Boise State University including Vice President of Advancement and Executive Director of The Boise State University Foundation.
As Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at BSU, Frisch was responsible for building a new organizational focus on relationships with companies and foundations. As Executive Director of the Boise State University Foundation he led the University and Foundation in preparation for its first institutional campaign - the largest in Idaho higher education history. Under his leadership, he grew the BSU foundation staff from five to fifteen professionals, promoting an advancement view among development, alumni, communications and athletic staff.
He previously served as President of the Washington State University Foundation, President of the University of Hawaii Foundation, Executive Director of the successful $1 billion “Campaign Arizona” at the University of Arizona and Director of Major Gifts at the University of Southern California. He also served as Vice President of External Affairs for Up With People, a global education non-profit focused on encouraging community service with a global perspective among college-aged students.
Frisch is an Idaho native and earned a BSB – Marketing from the University of Arizona.
In the community, Frisch contributes his time to the Fedrizzi Family Foundation, Boise State University Internationalization Advisory Board and the Roady’s Humanitarian Bowl Council.
Frisch and his wife Tamra reside in Boise and have three children; Greg, 24, and twins Elizabeth and Elliot, both 10.
